Leads the technology strategy, architecture, delivery, and evolution of ClearBank’s UK payments capabilities. Oversees engineering teams, ensures scalable, resilient, secure, and operationally ready services, and partners with Product to shape long-term roadmaps. Guides build-versus-buy decisions, third-party integrations, regulatory controls, stakeholder communication, and team development within a regulated banking environment.

Lead preparation and delivery of the Group Annual Report & Accounts, consolidated and statutory financial statements, and ensure IFRS and regulatory compliance. Manage external audits, own reporting timetable, prepare Board and Audit Committee papers, assess new accounting standards, coordinate reporting inputs across the business, and support interim audits and assurance activities.

Own month-end close activities, journals, bank and balance sheet reconciliations, accounting entries, variance analysis, and financial control processes. Support management, regulatory, statutory, and tax reporting, audits, and technical accounting judgments. Lead automation and process improvement initiatives across finance, including accounting-entry capture and posting. Collaborate with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Regulatory Reporting, Accounts Payable, auditors, and wider stakeholders while maintaining strong governance and documentation.

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead engineering teams, drive hiring processes, mentor team members, and ensure quality standards while collaborating with product partners and managing operational issues.

Lead reward data integrity, analysis and reporting. Build models, dashboards and benchmarking for pay reviews, incentives and equity. Drive automation, maintain governance and partner with People, Finance and Payroll to ensure accurate, decision-ready reward outcomes.

Own and execute the cards product strategy and roadmap, manage Cards P&L, lead a cross-functional cards team, drive end-to-end delivery, ensure scheme compliance and operational readiness (authorization, fraud, reconciliation), and support commercial integration with partners and customers.

Lead and manage engineering teams focusing on delivery, people management, hiring, mentoring, and operational excellence. Collaborate with product partners to prioritise and scope work, ensure quality and security standards, run Agile ceremonies, and manage 24/7 support when needed. Occasionally write and review code.
