Design, build, test, maintain, and document software features for elite motorsport applications. The role involves implementing efficient applications, fixing bugs, supporting technical inquiries, providing progress updates, and collaborating with product and engineering leaders. Over time, the engineer will develop a motorsport software specialty and contribute new insights and solutions.

Build and improve the Perch camera system across platform, perception, and ML systems. Design tracking, segmentation, and motion-recognition algorithms; train and deploy ML models to edge devices; develop reliable customer-facing services; analyze production data; and optimize inference performance. The role requires hands-on Python and C++ development, strong backend engineering, distributed or data-intensive systems experience, and exposure to computer vision, ML infrastructure, signal processing, or real-time systems.

Develop and maintain Catapult’s RaceWatch motorsport software for racing series. Responsibilities include designing features with product managers and customers, building reliable and reusable code, improving software quality and reliability, supporting the full product lifecycle, and contributing to innovative capabilities. The role is based in London three days per week and includes rotational weekend coverage for live motorsport events.
