Insight day for A-level students to explore legal careers, BP Collins’ practice areas, solicitor skills, training routes, and application advice. Attendees will meet trainees and lawyers, learn about the firm’s culture and teams, participate in trainee-led sessions, and complete a mock mediation exercise. Applicants must submit a CV and short covering letter explaining their interest in law and the event.

Advise clients on contested probate, wills, trusts, estate, and personal representative disputes. Handle negotiation, mediation, litigation, client meetings, strategy, costs, drafting, court documents, counsel instructions, settlement, and trial preparation. Manage a varied caseload, maintain strong client relationships, record time, bill promptly, support business development, and collaborate with private client, property, and dispute resolution teams.

Handle privately funded criminal, motoring, victims’ rights, regulatory, and professional discipline matters. Responsibilities include client advice, police station and court work, case strategy, drafting, advocacy, instructing counsel, negotiations, investigations, and file management. The solicitor will manage a varied caseload, provide clear and discreet advice, develop client relationships, and contribute to the growth of the Criminal Law team.
