Leads AXIS Capital’s Group Operational Risk Framework, strategy, governance, oversight, reporting, risk event management, scenario analysis, and regulatory engagement across global businesses and jurisdictions. The role provides independent second-line challenge to senior leadership and the Board, oversees Riskonnect, strengthens operational resilience, and manages risks involving cyber, AI, technology, third parties, and outsourcing. It also chairs the Operational Risk Committee and develops organizational risk capability.

Supports enterprise risk management across AXIS Capital by preparing risk reports, assisting with stress and scenario testing, coordinating data and assumptions, supporting internal model validation, maintaining risk systems, and conducting risk assessments. The role requires strong analytical, reporting, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with insurance or financial services experience preferred.

Lead underwriting assurance activities, including regulatory returns, governance reporting, underwriting file reviews, control oversight, issue escalation, and action tracking. Supervise, coach, and develop Analysts and Interns while coordinating with Underwriting, Operations, Finance, Compliance, Tax, and Data Analytics stakeholders. Maintain procedures and evidence, identify data-quality and control risks, and support process improvements, automation, training, and updated ways of working.
