Leads legal and business affairs for Avalon's UK factual and non-scripted television slate. Responsibilities include negotiating and drafting development, financing, production, talent, distribution, and co-production agreements; advising on copyright, clearance, defamation, privacy, duty of care, and OFCOM compliance; supervising legal team members; maintaining production templates and protocols; and supporting talent management, live events, corporate, data protection, trademark, and intellectual property matters.

Support client payments and accounts payable processes: prepare invoices and VAT invoices, process BACS payments, input sales receipts, reconcile GBP/USD/EUR bank accounts, manage unallocated payments and debtor chasing, assist fortnightly payment runs and stakeholder communications, and identify process improvements.

Maternity-cover commercial lawyer supporting Avalon’s Legal & Business Affairs team across talent management, TV/podcast production, distribution, live events and commercial operations. Duties include negotiating talent and production contracts, clearances and licences, advising on data protection (GDPR), corporate governance, supplier and employment agreements, IP and brand protection, and supporting HR and commercial teams.
