Lead ARIA’s executive assistant function while providing high-level support to the CEO. Manage the CEO’s diary, correspondence, meetings, travel, events, priorities, and follow-up actions. Coach and develop the EA team, establish efficient processes, coordinate board and committee administration, and build effective stakeholder relationships. Exercise discretion, anticipate needs, resolve competing demands, and ensure the Office of the CEO operates efficiently.

Leads ARIA’s programme communications function, developing portfolio-wide strategy, narrative frameworks, editorial standards, channel plans, and operating models. Manages a team of four, advises senior leaders on reputational risks and positioning, strengthens collaboration between communications and programme teams, and serves as communications lead for a designated programme. The role also contributes to ARIA’s institutional communications and AI in Science strategy.

Leads communications and engagement for ARIA research programmes, shaping scientific narratives, creating digital content, and connecting programmes with universities, deep-tech companies, researchers, and stakeholders. The role covers programme launches, science storytelling, ecosystem engagement, external events, and improving communications processes. Candidates need scientific fluency, strong storytelling and technical writing skills, project-management ability, autonomy, accuracy, collaboration, and ideally knowledge of the UK research and innovation landscape.

Lead ARIA’s equity, diversity and inclusion strategy across people practices, R&D funding, governance, procurement, events and organisational decision-making. Review systems for structural barriers, improve inclusive funding processes, measure progress, advise senior leaders, facilitate stakeholder collaboration, design training, and promote accountability and belonging. The role requires balancing strategic leadership with practical implementation, using data and lived experience to drive equitable outcomes.

Lead ARIA’s Robot Dexterity Programme translation strategy, moving promising robotics research and prototypes toward customer validation, operational deployment, commercialisation, and scale. Responsibilities include evaluating commercial potential, setting evidence-based milestones, allocating resources, coordinating Creator teams, engaging customers and industry partners, and building shared infrastructure, partnerships, talent, and investment pathways across a complex technology portfolio.

Lead ARIA’s Scaling Inference Lab, an AI hardware testbed building deployable rack-scale systems. Own programme delivery, operating model, governance, funding strategy, partnerships and long-term sustainability. Represent ARIA in governance forums, assess portfolio progress and risks, guide evidence-based decisions, and build relationships across academia, industry, government, funders and the compute ecosystem. The role requires technical breadth across AI infrastructure, strong programme leadership, senior stakeholder management, and regular UK travel.

Leads technical advisory and programme-delivery activities for ARIA’s particle-profiling research programme. Reviews proposals and milestones, guides technical discussions, communicates complex science to stakeholders, identifies emerging technologies and risks, develops white papers and open calls, and connects researchers, founders, laboratories, and end users. The role also supports project delivery, technical culture, funding mechanisms, and portfolio-wide learning across ARIA’s Adaptive Machines opportunity space.
