Serve as a Medical Science Liaison for AbbVie’s rheumatology team across South England. Build relationships with healthcare experts, lead scientific discussions and educational presentations, support clinical research and real-world evidence activities, gather field insights, and represent AbbVie at scientific meetings. Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations, and Commercial teams to improve patient outcomes. The field-based role requires 75% travel and a full UK driving licence.

Reviews and approves UK and overseas pharmaceutical meetings and non-promotional materials for ABPI, MHRA, EFPIA, IFPMA, and national code compliance. Advises medical and commercial teams, evaluates risk, supports corrective actions, presents compliance cases, and serves as the subject matter expert for meeting approvals and materials review.

Leads and manages Central Monitoring Managers responsible for de-risking clinical studies through risk-based quality management and central monitoring. Oversees staffing strategy, service delivery, recruitment, training, performance management, coaching, and leadership development. Partners with cross-functional Clinical Development Operations stakeholders to ensure high-quality, efficient, timely study execution. Promotes risk-based quality management, data-driven decision-making, continuous improvement, and effective issue resolution across global and remote teams.
