Poolhouse, a startup offering technology-enabled entertainment solutions for the game of pool, announced $34 million in seed funding. Investors Sharp Alpha and dmg ventures co-led the round. The company was created by Steven and Dave Jolliffe, the same minds behind immersive sports entertainment venues Topgolf and Puttshack.
Poolhouse encompasses patented technology and a Las Vegas-inspired ambiance. It caters to guests of all skill levels with a broad library of interactive pool games that offer features like ball tracking and AI-powered gameplay. The company’s venues will also incorporate food and beverage menus, with the goal of revolutionizing social entertainment.
The first location is set to open at 100 Liverpool Street in London in a space spanning 21,500 square feet. As it grows, Poolhouse aims to expand its presence across the Middle East, North America, Southeast Asia and Europe.
