U.K. insurer Aviva and CyberCube, a cyber risk analytics firm, have announced a partnership to better understand and manage cyber threats using artificial intelligence.

According to a news release, the collaboration will use CyberCube’s analytics tools and AI models to analyze digital forensics data and ransomware-related leaks. This will help Aviva identify how threat actors operate and which technologies they target, allowing the insurer to pinpoint vulnerable companies within its portfolio.

“By incorporating this unique blend of cyber analytics and threat intelligence into current underwriting and exposure management processes, reinsurers can gain deeper insights into their portfolios, enabling them to better manage cyber risk for both themselves and their customers,” Aviva’s James Mitchell said in a statement.
