Provide UK/EMEA privacy legal advice, counsel on DPIAs and AI initiatives, draft and negotiate privacy contracts, advise on cross-border data sharing, support audits, and implement data and AI governance and privacy-by-design across product and platform teams.

Lead compliance strategy for Wise's Middle East and Africa region, acting as regional Compliance Director. Oversee licensing and market expansion, establish second-line operational teams, localize compliance frameworks, manage regulator relationships, and report financial crime and regulatory risks to the Board. The role also supports regional Compliance Officers, translates regulatory developments into strategic action, and ensures compliant product growth across markets including Israel, UAE, South Africa, Nigeria, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt.

Provide strategic legal advice on employment law issues, draft employment contracts and policies, support employee relations, and oversee disputes and tribunal cases.

Lead design and implementation of customer-centric financial crime controls for UK products. Advise product and operations teams on UK regulatory requirements, conduct risk assessments, monitor control effectiveness using data, and work with MLRO and audit to remediate issues. Drive control enhancements to scale with products while balancing compliance and customer experience.

Serve as principal governance advisor to regulated subsidiary Boards and Committees. Lead board and committee management, statutory filings, compliance monitoring, stakeholder engagement, governance framework maturity, group-wide projects (corporate transactions, AGMs, listing requirements), and support team development across a global subsidiary group.

Manage and build global compliance frameworks for anti-bribery & corruption, gifts and entertainment, conflicts of interest, third-party due diligence, registers, investigations, and consumer protection. Lead EWRA and governance reporting, partner with regional compliance teams, drive automation of compliance processes, and deliver ethics and compliance training and MI to senior stakeholders.
