The role requires collaboration with engineering, risk, operations, and business teams across the UK, Europe, and other jurisdictions.

Provides UK regulatory compliance advice and challenge across Wise’s products and operations. The role focuses on FCA requirements, capital and liquidity compliance, regulatory reporting, risk assessments, policy development, obligations mapping, operational resilience, consumer duty, regulatory engagement, audit remediation, training, escalations, and board-level compliance reporting. The manager will also maintain the UK compliance framework and mentor team members while collaborating with Product, Risk, Legal, Finance, and other global teams.

Owns global product compliance strategy for payment processing, customer eligibility, identity verification, regulatory obligation mapping, and multi-licence operations. Translates complex regulatory requirements into scalable product and engineering decisions, partners with legal, product, engineering, and compliance teams, represents compliance positions to regulators and auditors, and strengthens assurance frameworks across Wise’s markets and payment schemes.

Provides commercial legal advice for Wise Platform’s global partnerships with banks, financial institutions, and enterprise customers. Responsibilities include managing contract lifecycles, drafting and negotiating agreements, developing legal processes, templates, playbooks, and guardrails, advising on payments and financial regulation, supporting Product and Compliance, improving legal technology and workflows, managing risk, and mentoring legal and business teams.
