About the Role           

In this role, you will manage a team that delivers productivity and infrastructure services to a global organisation across multiple countries such as the UK, South Africa, Spain etc. Take proactive ownership of anticipating the business needs and building a highly efficient service delivery team to build/maintain/deliver stable infrastructure and innovative solutions to scale the business.  

 

What You'll Do 

  • Report into the Head of Workplace Technology 
  • Accountable for all IT Infrastructure ( End user hardware, Firewalls, Networking, Hosting ) & Productivity tools ( O365, Slack, Zoom & Business Applications ) 
  • Focus on team development 
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer focus and hold the team accountable 
  • Lead a team of employees that :  
  • Research and identify solutions to process and technology gaps 
  • Proactively partner with stakeholders 
  • Strive for continuous improvement 
  • Track issues through to resolution, within agreed time limits 
  • Build short and long term strategies for improving the “employee journey” 
  • Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal/external teams (e.g. software developers/partners) 
  • Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers 
  • Create impactful communications  
  • Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time 
  • Follow up with employees to ensure their IT systems are fully functional after troubleshooting  
  • Document technical knowledge in the form knowledgebase articles and training manuals 

 

What You’ll Need 

  • 4+ years of experience in IT and leadership 
  • BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant field 
  • Experience in managing large scale digital transformation programs 
  • Experience in building highly effective teams 
  • Good to have experience in ITIL process knowledge, Video Conferencing, Slack, Google Workspace, Zoom. 

 

Bonus Points 

  • ITIL v4 
  • Additional certification in Microsoft, Linux, Cisco or similar technologies is a plus 
    • Experience within the finance software industry
