About the Role
In this role, you will manage a team that delivers productivity and infrastructure services to a global organisation across multiple countries such as the UK, South Africa, Spain etc. Take proactive ownership of anticipating the business needs and building a highly efficient service delivery team to build/maintain/deliver stable infrastructure and innovative solutions to scale the business.
What You'll Do
- Report into the Head of Workplace Technology
- Accountable for all IT Infrastructure ( End user hardware, Firewalls, Networking, Hosting ) & Productivity tools ( O365, Slack, Zoom & Business Applications )
- Focus on team development
- Demonstrate a high level of customer focus and hold the team accountable
- Lead a team of employees that :
- Research and identify solutions to process and technology gaps
- Proactively partner with stakeholders
- Strive for continuous improvement
- Track issues through to resolution, within agreed time limits
- Build short and long term strategies for improving the “employee journey”
- Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal/external teams (e.g. software developers/partners)
- Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers
- Create impactful communications
- Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time
- Follow up with employees to ensure their IT systems are fully functional after troubleshooting
- Document technical knowledge in the form knowledgebase articles and training manuals
What You’ll Need
- 4+ years of experience in IT and leadership
- BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant field
- Experience in managing large scale digital transformation programs
- Experience in building highly effective teams
- Good to have experience in ITIL process knowledge, Video Conferencing, Slack, Google Workspace, Zoom.
Bonus Points
- ITIL v4
- Additional certification in Microsoft, Linux, Cisco or similar technologies is a plus
