We are looking for a Working Student in Software Quality Assurance to help us build a culture of quality across our web-based tool ecosystem. You will work alongside our development team to validate new features, catch defects early, and help establish a sustainable automated test suite - contributing directly to tools used in high-impact semiconductor test engineering workflows. As our web-based tools grow in scope and user base, structured testing and test automation have become essential to maintaining quality and reliability.

For internships positions in Italy, Micron could pay Eur 900 - Eur 1200 per month, and will grant, in addition meal vouchers for each day worked onsite. Key Responsibilities
- Execute functional, regression, and exploratory testing on new and existing features across our web applications.
- Develop and maintain automated tests at unit, integration, and end-to-end level using modern test frameworks.
- Document defects with clear reproduction steps and collaborate with developers on resolutions.
- Contribute to acceptance criteria and test plans for upcoming feature releases.
- Support CI pipeline health and release readiness activities.
- Participate in code reviews and team quality discussions, bringing a structured testing perspective.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript for writing and maintaining test scripts.
- Hands-on experience with Git and standard software development workflows.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail - able to identify edge cases and reproduce defects reliably.
- Good written and spoken English for cross-functional collaboration across Munich and international sites.
Preferred Qualifications
- Initial experience with test frameworks such as pytest, Playwright, Vitest, or Selenium (at least 1 framework preferred).
- Basic understanding of REST APIs and database structures for backend validation.
- Exposure to CI/CD environments (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar).
- Applying Artificial Intelligence in order to increase productivity
