Workforce Data & Reporting Analyst

Contract: fixed term contract 12 months
Working hours: 35 hours per week is full time. Where possible, we are open to considering part time/flexible working patterns. Please let us know in your application your desired working pattern.

About Us:
The Financial Ombudsman Service is an independent, not-for-profit organisation that plays a vital role in UK financial services. Every day we help resolve disputes between consumers, or small businesses, and their financial service providers.
What You’ll Do:
This role provides operational and analytical support for the contingent workforce, ensuring accurate reporting, reliable controls, effective onboarding, and strong coordination between internal teams and our external managed service provider. You’ll help safeguard data accuracy, support financial oversight of contingent spend, and ensure processes across Flexible Deployment run smoothly and efficiently.
You’ll support the end-to-end management of the contingent workforce, producing monthly reporting and forecasts, managing weekly timesheet and billing checks, and monitoring assignment activity to identify risks or exceptions. Working closely with managers, Finance, and external suppliers, you’ll help maintain accurate workforce and financial data, provide clear guidance, and contribute to continuous improvement of processes and controls.
To be considered for this role, you’ll need to show us that you’ve got the skills and capabilities. You’ll have to meet the following minimum criteria:
Minimum Criteria:
- Proven experience producing and maintaining workforce or operational reports using Excel and other internal systems
- Experience managing recurring weekly and monthly operational processes with high accuracy
- Demonstrable experience working with workforce, HR, or finance systems
- Proven ability to manage sensitive data with discretion and confidentiality
- Experience working with external suppliers or service providers
