Job Description
You will join a function that provides credible challenge to the business as a second line of defense to keep the firm strong and resilient.
Wholesale Credit Risk function oversee the credit risk associated with Investment Bank clients as well as the firm's wholesale credit portfolio.
As an Executive Director within the Real Estate & Structured Finance Team, you will spearhead the evaluation, underwriting, and management of a diverse portfolio in the Real Estate and Asset-Backed markets. You will lead a team of credit professionals, working closely with clients and internal partners to assess creditworthiness, structure financing solutions, and execute transactions. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Job responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team to negotiate and construct recommendations for new transaction approvals, including secured and unsecured loans, Real Estate & asset-backed loans/warehouses, and traded products
  • Oversee transaction execution management, including due diligence, credit analysis, and review of loan agreements to assess creditworthiness and recommend appropriate structures and risk gradings
  • Drive team development by managing, coaching, and training junior team members on technical and professional skills
  • Manage the ongoing credit risk portfolio, including monitoring credit exposures, limits, credit ratings, market events, and client performance


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a strong track record in credit risk management
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish credibility and trust with stakeholders
  • In-depth knowledge of transaction structures, documentation, and banking products, with the ability to lead deal execution
  • Experience in loan financing in the real estate sector and securitizations
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently while effectively leading a team
  • Significant experience in a comparable environment
