Job Title: Drupal Developer
 

Position Overview:
Insulet, makers of the Omnipod insulin pump for Diabetes, is one of the fastest growing medical device companies in the industry and we are expanding our Web Development team! Insulet utilizes the Drupal 10 content management system and we are looking for a strong Drupal full stack developer. This role is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic, collaborative team environment, using best practice tools and methods, to help Insulet deliver products and services that improve the lives of people and their families who are living with Diabetes. Responsibilities:
• As a full stack developer, you will be involved in many aspects of Drupal development including interpreting requirements, development, testing and code deployments

  • Develop and implement new functionality to the current site, help maintain and troubleshoot the overall Drupal CMS infrastructure
  • Work with QA and other IT members to ensure that code is adequately reviewed and tested for functionality and security
  • Provide maintenance and enhancements to existing code
  • Help estimate and plan iterative agile releases as part of a Scrum team
  • Anticipate issues and risks at the module level and escalate appropriately
  • Help develop automation tools to test, deploy and monitor applications
  • Maintain proper documentation for code, workflow processes, testing, and standard operating procedures in accordance with business requirements
  • Help in assessing the impact of proposed changes and recommend alternative solution choices, determining trade-offs and impact analysis
  • Communicate effectively with IT leaders and/or business users on the status of enhancements, projects and open production support tickets (using Jira)
  • Stay abreast of current technology and seek out new tools that can be utilized appropriately

Education and Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience working as a Drupal developer, preferably in current position or in a recent position
  • Strong knowledge of Drupal 8 APIs, with PHP 7.x development experience
  • Solid debugging skills
  • Knowledge of Drupal 8 theming, Twig templates/HTML, CSS/SASS and responsive web development
  • Familiarity with Javascript
  • Familiarity with git and Bitbucket capabilities for source control
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodology and its benefits

Desired Skills and Competencies:

  • Positive, results driven, rational, logical, team player
  • Acquia Certified Developer (or higher)
  • Strong writing skills. Must have the ability to document process and technical knowledge in clear, easily understood documentation
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science or related discipline preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • General office environment, may sit for long periods of time
  • Domestic travel may be required less than 5% of the time
  • Infrequent weekend/off-hours work will occur for implementation go-live or support when needed
