Hey! We're team Granola 👋

If you haven't already, you should check out what we're building, and why you should work here.

We’re looking for a designer to own Granola’s web presence!

You’ll work closely with our marketing team, product designers, and design engineers, and be responsible for how our website looks, feels and works day‑to‑day. That means designing and shipping new pages, keeping our core marketing story sharp, and making sure the site can scale as we launch new products, campaigns and content.

In an ideal world you’re comfortable both designing and shipping your work. If you’re less technical though today, you’re still excited to work closely with engineers and ship fast together.

Why this role is special
  • Ownership & creative freedom: Initially you’ll be a team of one working on our website (with support from product designers & engineers), with a broad remit to use it as a tool for attracting new users, building our brand, and hosting novel new experiences.

  • Join a design-forward founding team: Sam (co-founder) is a designer, and Chris (co-founder) is a second-time founder with product background. We get what it means to do design right, and you'll have full support to push for great user experiences.

  • Work with kind, ambitious, and talented people: We've built an incredibly talented team of engineers and designers, with product sense and empathy for our users. Building something that's actually useful is baked into the culture of the company.

What you’ll do
  • Own the marketing website end‑to‑end: structure, UX, visual design and implementation.

  • Design and ship new pages for product launches, features, use cases and campaigns (including SEO pages and landing pages).

  • Collaborate with brand, product and engineering so the website feels cohesive with Granola’s product and evolves as our story changes.

  • Figure out creative and high-impact ways to get Granola on the web in front of more people (programmatic pages for templates/recipes? Beautiful micro-sites for conferences and other partners?)

You might be a fit if you…
  • Have strong visual and interaction design skills and care about clear, simple interfaces.

  • Have shipped marketing websites or product marketing pages for software products.

  • Are familiar with modern web tools (e.g. React/Next, modern CSS) and can work with Cursor, Claude Code, and whatever other coding agents you like to bring your designs to life

  • Know when to be scrappy, and when to hone in on the details. When we're early figuring out new projects, speed of iteration is all that counts. As we build conviction in what we're building, it's sweating the details in interaction, typography, and motion that make all the difference.

  • A natural prototyper: let's try it and see how it feels might be one of our most used phrases in the office.

  • Enjoy sweating the details in copy, not just visuals

  • Measure your designs on what shipped, not a beautiful Figma file.

  • Are familiar with SEO basics, A/B testing, performance creative, and other tools we might use to optimize our web experience (and if not, you’re excited to learn)

As a person, you…
  • Are first and foremost a builder

  • Are excited to work in-person from our office in London (most of the time)

  • Love working in a startup environment (you either have experience working in a startup or are really drawn to the zero-to-one phase)

  • Value working with people who are kind, ambitious, and pragmatic

We are living in the most exciting time for tool builders since Engelbart's demo in 1968 and we want to assemble the best crew to build this future together.

Our compensation philosophy is to hire the best people in the market and pay them accordingly with salary, variable, and equity.

Lastly, we think amazing talent comes from all kinds of life journeys and experiences. If what is written above speaks to you, whether you look like a fit on paper or not, please reach out.
