About You: 

This role would suit someone looking to build a career in business systems and technology, whether through professional experience or academic study. The role would also suit individuals currently working in wealth management support, client services, administration or operations who are looking to transition into a more technical, systems-focused career.  

 

You enjoy learning new technologies, understanding how systems work and helping others solve problems. Naturally curious, organised and detail-oriented, you take a customer-focused approach and are keen to continuously develop your knowledge and skills. 

 

We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, an aptitude for technology and a desire to learn new business applications and processes. You will gain exposure to business systems, application support, system integrations and emerging technologies, including Microsoft Power Platform and AI-enabled solutions, providing a strong foundation for a career in application analysis, business systems, automation and continuous improvement. 

 

You may be an early-career professional with a degree (or be working towards one) in a relevant field such as: 

 

  • Business Information Systems / Management Information Systems 
  • Computer Science 
  • Information Technology 
  • Software Engineering 
  • Data Analytics or Data Science 
  • Business Management with a technology focus 
  • Finance or Economics with a strong interest in technology and business systems 

The role will be based in our Cheltenham head office, and offers hybrid working.

 

Key Responsibilities Include:



  • Provide first-line support to users by answering questions and resolving application-related issues. 
  • Guide users on how to use business systems and follow the correct processes. 
  • Manage user accounts and system access, including liaising with third-party suppliers where required. 
  • Investigate, troubleshoot and escalate more complex issues to senior team members where appropriate. 
  • Monitor, prioritise and maintain support tickets, ensuring users receive regular updates. 
  • Support system administration activities and help maintain data accuracy and integrity. 
  • Work with the wider Applications team to test system changes and new functionality. 
  • Assist in maintaining support documentation, user guides and knowledge articles. 
  • Build strong working relationships across the business to understand user needs and improve system adoption. 
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including automation and process enhancement projects. 
  • Develop an understanding of business systems, integrations and emerging technologies. 

 

Essential Skills and Experience: 

  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience 
  • Strong interest in technology, systems and process improvement 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to learn new applications and business processes quickly 
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills 
  • Customer service focused 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team 
  • Proactive approach and willingness to take ownership of tasks 

 

Desirable Skills and Experience:



  • Placement year, internship or work experience in technology, systems or financial services 
  • Experience using business applications, CRM systems or databases 
  • Awareness of Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate 
  • Knowledge of financial services or wealth management 
  • Interest in automation, AI and emerging technologies 
  • Understanding of business processes and process mapping
