About you and this role

The W115 Elastomers department manufactures base silicone rubbers from long chain silicone polymer, powdered silica and treating agents. The area operates a silicone polymerization unit, several large-scale batch mixers to produce the rubber which feed into semi-automated packaging machines. The base rubber is used internally in addition to being sold externally where it is used in the automotive, aerospace and medical industries.

Responsibilities

  • Provide detailed and accurate information about the Barry Site and the W115 Elastomers Department.
  • Assist users with queries related to silicone production, site operations, and specific processes within the W115 Elastomers Department.
  • Utilize conversational AI capabilities to engage with users in a friendly and approachable manner. Ensure all interactions are conducted safely and in compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Continuously update and expand knowledge to provide the most current and relevant information.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve response quality and user satisfaction.
  • Document and report on user interactions to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of silicone production processes and the operations of the Barry Site.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to engage with users in a friendly, empathetic, and professional manner.
  • Proficiency in using conversational AI tools and technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment is a plus
