The Impact You'll Have
As we expand beyond our core Travel Rule compliance solutions into broader payment markets, we seek an exceptional VP of Payment Markets to help us grow into new payment use cases and drive network adoption.
As the VP of Payment Markets, you will own the strategy and execution for expanding Notabene's transaction authorization platform beyond compliance into payment markets while driving network growth and adoption. This role combines hands-on product and market development with ecosystem partnership building to help us become the global transaction authorization network for payments.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute strategies to enter new payment market opportunities.
- Build relationships with blockchain ecosystems, including L1s, L2s, and DeFi protocols.
- Partner with self-hosted wallet providers and hosted wallet API services.
- Define and refine pricing and packaging strategies for payment-focused products.
- Establish strategic partnerships with key infrastructure providers.
- Drive marketplace participation through go-to-market initiatives.
- Foster trust, engagement, and collaboration among ecosystem participants.
- Design and implement marketplace incentives that drive adoption and create network effects.
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to develop solutions aligned with payment market needs.
- Validate market opportunities through hands-on execution during the first 6 months.
- Build a business case to scale team growth and accelerate product development.
Must Haves
- 10+ years of experience in payments, financial services, or crypto/blockchain industries.
- 4+ years in product strategy, ideally within a Payment Service Provider (PSP) or a similar payment platform.
- Familiarity with blockchain ecosystems, including L1s, L2s, DeFi protocols, and wallet services.
- Proven ability to build and scale payment networks or platforms.
- Strong product sense and the ability to translate market needs into actionable strategies.
- A track record of developing and executing strategic partnerships.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with traditional financial institutions and crypto/blockchain companies.
- Based in Europe or the US East Coast.
Nice-to-Haves
- Strong relationships with protocol foundations, wallet providers, and stablecoin issuers.
- Insight into emerging stablecoin payment trends and their impact on global markets.
- Prior experience navigating the regulatory landscape for crypto payment solutions.
- London, New York, Zürich, or Berlin-based preferred.
