Job title: VP Marketing
Location: London (Hybrid)
Team: Growth
Reporting To: Chief Growth Officer

Kaluza is the Energy Intelligence Platform, we orchestrate millions of real-time decisions across homes, devices, markets, and grids to accelerate the shift to clean energy. We're a certified B Corp, independently owned, and backed by partners including Mitsubishi, ENGIE, AGL, and OVO.

We believe the convergence of AI and the energy transition is a once-in-a-generation opportunity. We need a marketing leader who can make the market believe it too.

This role exists to build and run the marketing engine that makes Kaluza the most respected brand in climate tech. You'll own demand generation, content operations, product marketing, event strategy, and marketing performance.

What you'll own

  • The narrative engine. Define content strategy and editorial standards that position Kaluza as the intellectual authority at the intersection of AI and energy. Not corporate thought leadership, original, category-defining thinking that earns attention.
  • Pipeline and commercial impact. Set the strategic direction for demand generation, ABM, and pipeline creation. Build attribution frameworks so we know what's working. Translate complex platform capabilities into messaging that lands with both technical and executive buyers.
  • An AI-native marketing function. This isn't about adding AI to a traditional playbook. You'll embed generative and agentic AI across workflows, research, asset creation, distribution, analytics, and build systems that let a lean team produce at 3–5x.
  • A team of specialists. You're inheriting a team across demand gen, content, product marketing, brand/design, and digital. Your job is to make them significantly better, raise standards, create clarity, develop people, and build a culture where talented individuals do the best work of their careers.
  • Global brand consistency. Maintain and evolve brand excellence across all touchpoints following our recent rebrand. Own event strategy for high ROI across owned events and international conferences.

What are we looking for?

  • You have 10+ years in B2B tech marketing, with experience leading and scaling teams internationally, ideally in platform, SaaS, or climate tech businesses. You've built marketing functions at scale-up pace (Series B/C) and know how to prioritise ruthlessly.
  • You're AI-native. You're building with agents, prompt engineering, and agentic workflows. You can oversee an AI-augmented content engine and you understand what this means for team design.
  • You're an exceptional people leader. You've inherited teams and made them better, by developing them, raising the bar, and creating an environment of high standards and mutual support. You hire well and you retain well.
  • You have strong editorial judgment. You can write, edit, and set a quality bar. You know the difference between marketing noise and thinking that actually moves a market.
  • You're data-driven. You've built attribution and measurement frameworks for demand gen and ABM. You make decisions based on evidence.
  • You're low-ego, high-drive. You're collaborative, intellectually curious, and energised by hard problems. You don't need the spotlight, you need the impact.
What Will Set You Apart
  • You've joined a small team at a high-growth company and scaled it to significant global impact
  • You understand energy sector buying dynamics, regulatory complexity, and long enterprise sales cycles
  • You genuinely care about climate and our mission
  • You've built a recognisable tech brand before, you think in narratives, not campaigns
