Purpose of the role

We are seeking an accomplished, results-driven Vice President of Marketing & Communications to define and lead our global marketing and communications strategy. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will be a key member of the leadership team, shaping business decisions through market insight, strategic leadership, and constructive challenge.

You will lead and develop a high-performing team across marketing, communications, and events, with clear accountability for performance and outcomes. Working in close partnership with Commercial, Product, and other senior leaders, you will deliver a unified, data-led approach that strengthens brand reputation, accelerates market share growth, and drives measurable revenue impact.

Key accountabilities

Strategic marketing execution 

  • Set and execute the global marketing and communications strategy, aligned to business priorities and Euromonitor’s long-term vision.
  • Drive brand awareness and differentiation, measuring impact and market reach.
  • Lead the growth marketing operating model, driving scalable acquisition, retention, and revenue growth across the full customer lifecycle.
  • Set and oversee go-to-market strategy and execution for products and services, ensuring strong commercial alignment and measurable results.
  • Own marketing operations strategy, including budgeting, technology stack, process optimization, and performance measurement, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Leverage data and analytics to drive continuous functional optimisation, ROI and innovation.

Regional and local enablement

  • Develop a global framework that enables regional and local teams to execute effectively against shared OKRs and business objectives.
  • Set the optimal balance between global, regional, and local priorities, ensuring consistency and protecting brand integrity.
  • Equip regional and local leaders with the tools, insights, and governance needed to adapt messaging, campaigns, and channels for maximum local impact. 

Team leadership & budget management 

  • Lead, inspire and grow a high-performing, commercially oriented, global marketing team providing clear strategic direction and focus.
  • Foster cross-team and cross-functional collaboration, particularly with Sales, Product, Consulting, and Research.
  • Own marketing budget allocation to maximise ROI and strategic impact.  

Brand authority & thought leadership 

  • Own and evolve Euromonitor’s brand presence, positioning us as a market and thought leader.  
  • Represent marketing at C-suite/leadership forums to ensure marketing is embedded in strategic decision-making.
  • Direct C-Suite engagement for high-profile media and content opportunities.  
  • Own global communications, events, digital (SEO, PPC, email, social media, etc.), brand, and content marketing strategies across all channels, ensuring alignment, consistency, and presence that reinforces brand leadership and drives commercial objectives.

Scalable revenue growth

  • Lead demand generation, account-based marketing (ABM), and campaign strategies to build and convert a high-quality pipeline in partnership with Sales, accelerating cycles and revenue growth.
  • Own product marketing strategy, including positioning, messaging, and go-to-market execution, to accelerate adoption, revenue, and market differentiation.

Partnership and insights sharing

  • Partner with leadership across key functions to align marketing with business objectives.
  • Build and manage high value relationships with external partners, agencies, and stakeholders. 
  • Ensure effective collaboration with HR on internal communications and engagement. 
  • Support strategic insight generation to inform marketing and business strategy. 
  • Translate client feedback, competitive insights, and emerging trends into actionable improvements and innovative marketing strategies.
Skills, knowledge and experience
  • Progressive senior marketing leadership experience in the B2B space, including leading multi-regional teams within a global, matrixed organisation with a deep understanding of regional and local market execution.
  • Demonstrated success influencing at C-suite or executive leadership level, driving strategic alignment and contributing to enterprise decision-making. 
  • Proven track record of building and executing marketing strategies that directly support commercial growth, brand elevation, and market expansion. 
  • Experience leading large-scale transformation or repositioning initiatives, ideally across multiple geographies and stakeholder groups. 
  • Deep knowledge of growth marketing, brand leadership, and data-driven performance optimisation at scale.
  • Exceptional leadership and team development capabilities, with evidence of building high-performing, commercially oriented teams with a particular emphasis on building trust, advocacy, empowerment and fostering collaboration
  • Strong internal and external stakeholder management skills, with experience partnering with product, sales, finance, technology and external agencies to deliver business-wide outcomes. 
  • Outstanding communication and influencing ability, including executive-level presentation and media engagement. 
  • Future-focused strategic thinker, with a track record of leveraging emerging technologies and evolving marketing models to drive competitive differentiation. 
  • Experience managing significant budgets and optimising marketing ROI at enterprise level. 
  • Evidence of accountability for measurable commercial impact (e.g. supporting revenue growth, client retention, market share gains). 
  • Knowledge of the market research industry a plus.
