BlackRock’s Transition Management (TRIM) team manages over 300 transitions annually across equity, fixed income, and multi-asset portfolios. With hubs in London, Budapest, New York, San Francisco, Tokyo, Singapore, and Hong Kong, TRIM delivers tailored solutions through analytics, portfolio and risk management, and trading implementation.

Our clients include central banks, sovereign wealth funds, public and corporate pension plans, and other institutional investors. The team of 50+ professionals offers one of the industry's most comprehensive transition platforms, partnering with clients to deliver the full power of BlackRock.

The Role

We are seeking a Client Relationship Manager to support our EMEA based institutional and wealth clients. Based in London, you’ll be part of a global team responsible for originating and managing Transition Management relationships. You’ll work closely with BlackRock’s broader EMEA client coverage and product strategy teams to help clients navigate complex portfolio changes with precision and care.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and deepen relationships with institutional clients across EMEA.
  • Lead client pitches, presentations, and engagement strategies and the preparation thereof.
  • Respond to RFPs and develop tailored client materials.
  • Partner with internal teams to identify opportunities and deliver integrated solutions.
  • Maintain high standards of client service and responsiveness throughout the transition lifecycle.
  • Drive new business development and repeat client engagement.
  • Promote BlackRock’s transition capabilities across the firm and externally.

What You’ll Bring

  • 6–8+ years’ experience in asset management, specifically within institutional client servicing or sales
  • Knowledge of the Transition Management industry.
  • Demonstrable track record of developing relationships, with evidence of sales success
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex investment concepts.
  • Proactive and adaptable, with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Commercial awareness and a client-first mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple client engagements and competing priorities simultaneously
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written); additional European languages (e.g., Dutch, German, Italian) are highly valued.
  • Professional certifications such as IMC, CFA or CAIA are advantageous

Our hybrid work model

BlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Employees are currently required to work at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
