Job Description:
As the senior technical leader reporting to the CEO, you will own the engineering strategy for a high-impact team. You will build a multi-modal data platform that integrates genomics, clinical records, and patient-reported outcomes. This player-coach role combines strategic architectural oversight with hands-on execution to deliver product-grade data that powers life-saving clinical trials.

What you will do:

• Design and evolve a multi-modal data platform to ingest, standardize, and validate complex datasets including genomics, EMR, and lab results.

• Hire, coach, and scale a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of ownership, pragmatic processes, and technical excellence.

• Partner with the SVP of Product to align technical roadmaps with commercial goals, ensuring data quality and provenance meet regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate:

• Proven experience building production-grade data pipelines and delivering data-powered products in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.

• Deep expertise in systems design for sensitive data (PII/PHI), focusing on secure-by-default architecture and rigorous operational discipline.

• Strong leadership instincts with the ability to navigate ambiguity, make pragmatic technical trade-offs, and communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
