Job Description

At Omio, we are committed to Making Travel Easy through Technology! This is an exciting opportunity to join one of Europe’s fastest-growing travel tech companies, backed by over 30 million monthly users and the world’s leading tech investors. You will be an integral part of our team, responsible for the implementation and management of our new FinTech product: the Virtual Credit Card (VCC) program, while also overseeing settlement processes. This role will involve collaborating closely with our technology, data, finance, and business teams to develop and optimize payment solutions that will impact millions of travelers globally.

Key Responsibilities:

VCC Implementation and Management:

  1. Initial Setup and Implementation:

    • Internal Process Update: Develop and update internal financial policies to incorporate VCC usage guidelines, establish approval workflows, and create detailed policy manuals.

    • System Integration: Align VCC capabilities with existing systems, implement fraud detection measures, and ensure compliance with security standards.

    • Stakeholder Coordination: Work with an internal team responsible for VCC operations and develop training and communication plans for all involved parties.

    • Implementation and Rollout: Manage the full implementation plan, conduct risk assessments, and prepare contingency strategies for potential challenges.

  2. Ongoing Monthly Responsibilities:

    • Transaction Management: Regularly monitor VCC transactions to ensure accuracy and detect fraudulent activities.

    • Financial Reconciliation and Reporting: Oversee the reconciliation process, generate and review reports on VCC usage, and resolve any discrepancies.

    • Documentation and Compliance: Ensure ongoing compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.

    • Customer Support: Maintain relationships with VCC vendors and manage ongoing operational issues.

  3. Quarterly/Yearly Responsibilities:

    • Program Management: Review VCC program performance, gather vendor feedback, and explore new features to enhance efficiency.

    • Opportunities and Growth: Identify new opportunities with Travel Service Providers (TSPs) and ensure the VCC system scales with business growth.

    • Budget and Financial Planning: Manage the VCC budget, forecast rebate calculations, and oversee related expenses.

Settlement Process Management:

  1. Product and Strategy Ownership:

    • Own the virtual card product, process, and strateg.

    • Work with external partners and internal teams to set up and implement Omio’s payment solutions, including full implementation of a VCC solution.

  2. Technical Collaboration:

    • Define requirements for third-party vendors involved in the virtual card process.

    • Collaborate with the tech team to design, build, and automate processes, ensuring the product meets set KPIs and delivers success.

  3. Commercial Vision and KPIs:

    • Develop a compelling vision for the virtual card product and define the KPIs to measure its success.

    • Engage with commercial teams to ensure the VCC program aligns with Omio's financial and strategic goals.

Qualifications

  • Customer-Focused: Passionate about building user-friendly products that enhance the travel experience.
  • Financially Aware: Understanding of financial payment solutions, including payments by virtual credit cards- Also understand finance methodologies and possess a business mindset

  • Technically Proficient: Over 2 years of experience in technology/technical product management, with hands-on business experience and familiarity with the tools in our tech stack (Typescript, React, Docker, etc.).

  • Pragmatic and Analytical: Able to tackle complex problems, design modular solutions, and deliver end-to-end projects with a focus on value.

  • Automation-Oriented: Committed to automating repetitive tasks and improving efficiency through technology.

  • Performance-Minded: Skilled at optimizing system performance and identifying bottlenecks.

  • Collaborative: A team player who guides and supports teammates, with strong communication skills across teams.
