About the Role

Join the Consignment team in the UK!

The Consignment team offers Vestiaire Collective’s VIP customers a white-glove selling service: We manage everything from at-home collections, copywriting, photography, price management, storage, and shipping on behalf of our clients.

We are looking for a VIP Consignment Business Developer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at building relationships, and is driven by new business acquisition. The primary focus of this role is to build a new client base, drive stock acquisition, and grow our consignment business in the UK/France/Italy.

What you’ll be doing

  • Identify, target, and acquire new VIP clients to build a strong and valuable portfolio.
  • Drive consistent monthly growth in client submissions and stock acquisition.
  • Proactively network, leveraging industry connections, events, and referrals to attract high-value clients.
  • Nurture and develop relationships with new clients to secure long-term engagement and repeat business.
  • Develop and implement innovative acquisition strategies, working closely with internal stakeholders.
  • Actively seek and implement feedback to optimise outreach and engagement tactics.
  • Communicate blockers and challenges effectively, ensuring timely support and solutions.
  • Maintain and optimise client catalogues to maximise sales performance.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador, delivering exceptional service and representing Vestiaire’s values in every client interaction.
  • Exceed targets by effectively managing your time and appointment schedule.

Who you are

  • 2+ years of experience in luxury sales, business development, personal shopping, or a client-facing luxury role.
  • Proven track record in acquiring and retaining high-net-worth clients.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong commercial drive and proactive approach.
  • Excellent networking and relationship-building skills, with an established luxury client network or the ability to build one quickly.
  • Deep knowledge of the luxury industry, market trends, and client expectations.
  • Autonomous, target-driven, and comfortable working in a results-oriented environment.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in G-Suite, Salesforce, CRM, and other relevant digital tools.
