Manage scheduling of external editing teams, oversee content creation workflows, assist in error resolution, and analyze operational data using Asana.
Key Responsibilities
External Vendor and Workflow Management
- Manage the scheduling and output of external editing teams, ensuring resources are tracked across the department to anticipate pinch-points.
- Liaise with internal and external leads on upcoming work, workflow improvements, and performance standards.
- Ensure editing and content creation best practices are observed by external partners and review these processes regularly with the Head of Content Operations.
Technical Triage and Automation Support
- Triage workflow automation processes (utilising Python and FFmpeg). You are not expected to write code, but you must be comfortable using the Terminal/CLI to view logs.
- Diagnose and resolve encode failures, distinguishing between errors needing escalation to the Workflow Automation Manager and adjusting files for automation.
- Research and identify new software or workflow tweaks that may be beneficial in the pursuit of content creation and delivery.
Content Formatting and Social Strategy
- Lead editing and workflow best practices within DaVinci Resolve, advising on efficient and effective methods for editing and workflow within our deliverables.
- Oversee the reformatting of broadcast/long-form content for social media platforms, ensuring technical specs align with platform requirements (e.g., correct codecs/aspect ratios for Reels, TikTok, YouTube).
- Manage time of Uploader team delivering content via social CMS platforms (Facebook Business Manager, YouTube Studio).
Data Analysis and Infrastructure
- Utilise Asana to track operational data, identifying fail rates, error trends, and operational blockers.
- User management of media workflow applications, including set up of roles and permissions - adhering to company security policies.
Requirements :
Intermediate/Advanced Knowledge of DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Premiere/Media Encoder.
- Experience with reviewing/error reporting from Terminal/CLI logs to diagnose FFMPEG or Python automation errors.
- Experience managing external vendors/freelance pools.
- Strong proficiency in Asana workflows, automation and reporting.
- Familiarity with Social Media CMSs (YouTube, Meta/FB Business Manager).
- In-depth knowledge of best practices and industry-standard content delivery methods.
- An analytical approach to problem-solving with the ability to distinguish between technical infrastructure errors and asset errors.
- Acts responsibly and sensitively with all client and agency data.
- Collaborative and able to assist in training external partners when required.
