Salary: £30,000 - £40,000

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Video Director with Self-Shooting abilities who can take ownership of directing performance driven video ads. You’ll be responsible for directing, some shooting (along side DOP), and analysing edits for high-performing ad creatives tailored for paid media (Meta, TikTok, YouTube, etc.). You must be skilled in both narrative-driven and Authentic UGC-style content (e.g. podcasts, street interviews, testimonials & viral organic concepts) while also understanding performance marketing principles.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Directing – Lead and execute shoots, working closely with talent, crew, and working both in studio & on location environments to create highly authentic performances that are native to social.
  • Creative Concepting – Collaborate with the strategy and media buying teams to elevate ad concepts that convert.
  • Camera Operation – Be hands-on with filming when needed, ensuring appropriate visuals optimised for paid social platforms.
  • Testing & Optimisation – Analyse ad performance data and iterate on creative based on results.
  • Production Logistics – Assist with managing shoot schedules, locations, talent, and equipment to deliver high-quality assets efficiently.
  • Trend Awareness – Stay updated on the latest video trends, platform algorithm changes, and ad formats to ensure content remains fresh and effective.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years experience in video production, directing, and self-shooting for digital marketing campaigns.
  • Proven track record of creating high-converting paid ad content ideally for DTC brands.
  • Strong camera and lighting expertise, with proficiency in operating & Shooting with Sony FX3, iphone cameras.
  • Solid understanding of direct response marketing principles and how to craft video content that drives conversions.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong ability to direct authentic & natural performances.
  • Experience in UGC-style, TikTok-native, and mobile-first content creation is a must.

Bonus Skills

  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and other relevant post-production tools.
  • Experience working with influencers and content creators.
  • Knowledge of ad platform best practices for Meta, TikTok, and YouTube Ads.
