Your Role: Video Content Producer (LBC)

You will be responsible for the smooth creation & delivery of industry-leading video content across all Global brands, with a particular focus on LBC. Reporting into the Head of Editorial, working alongside video, radio, digital & social teams you will be encouraged to build outstanding, engaging video content that ensures LBC and Global remain at the top of the media industry. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce memorable video content that audiences will want to share.  

  • Lead projects in their entirety - from creation, scripting and storyboarding to shooting and editing. 

  • Lead video production teams on location.  

  • Work with the on-air LBC teams to promote and amplify what they are doing via video. 

  • Contribute ideas for social video, bringing out the best from our on-air talent.  

  • Complete risk assessments, call sheets and coordinate kit and crew alongside our Production Management team. 

  • Prioritise multiple requests simultaneously and seek internal or external resource where appropriate.

What Success Looks Like

In your first few months, you’ll have:

  • Created eye-catching & original video content for LBC – from exclusive news features to stand-out social media content.  

  • Worked closely with LBC reporters and presenters to improve their video profile and skills. 

  • Fostered and grown relationships between LBC’s video, radio, social and digital teams. 

  • Produced studio content from LBC’s Leicester Square and Millbank studios.  

  • Participated in set-piece location interview recordings that work for radio and video.  

  • Understood and embraced internal processes, workflows & policies. 

What You’ll Need

  • The ideal candidate will be proactive and willing to develop and implement innovative solutions, capable of the following: 

  • An extensive knowledge of video production techniques and workflows. 

  • Knowledge of and passion for political journalism. 

  • A journalism qualification or relatable newsroom experience with solid understanding of contempt/ libel/ copyright/ privacy laws as well as an understanding of Ofcom guidelines and digital compliance. 

  • Experience of creating and publishing material for social media; an understanding of how to adapt material for different platforms (i.e Twitter, TikTok, Instagram and Facebook).  

  • Intermediate/ expert knowledge and understanding of Adobe Premiere Pro is a requirement. 

  • Experience with all the following an advantage: Adobe Creative Suite; Adobe After Effects; Adobe Audition; Adobe Photoshop.  

  • A can-do attitude, willing to go above and beyond and to always be professional and courteous towards your colleagues and external contractors.
