About this role
The Vice President, Solutions Engineering Lead is a senior technical and client‑facing leadership role within the Aladdin Wealth Solutions Engineering team. The role requires a rare combination of deep technical credibility, strong client presence, and the ability to own complex opportunities end‑to‑end.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and lead complex Tier‑1 sales opportunities end‑to‑end, from early discovery and structuring, RFP processes and in-depth due diligence, through to handover to implementation.
- Lead solution narratives that clearly articulate architecture, operating model design, trade‑offs, and implementation implications to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Drive deal momentum by proactively managing risks, dependencies, and cross‑functional alignment across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Implementation teams.
- Design, validate, and challenge complex solutions across Aladdin Wealth, including integration architectures, platform configuration, and multi‑entity operating models.
- Maintain sufficient technical depth to read and reason through code in order to validate feasibility, assess complexity, and engage credibly with engineering teams.
- Take hands‑on ownership of specific areas of platform configuration or solution setup when necessary to service client opportunities or resolve critical issues.
- Act as a bridge between conceptual solution design and practical execution, ensuring proposals are grounded in how the platform works.
- Coach and mentor junior and mid‑level engineers, accelerating their ability to lead client conversations and take on greater responsibility.
- Contribute to the development of scalable best practices for solution design, client engagement, and deal execution to improve consistency across the function.
- Contribute to shaping the broader Solutions Engineering strategy, engagement model, and talent development roadmap.
Required Profile and Experience
- Strong technical foundation, with an early career background in engineering or architecture solutions.
- Previous experience as a Sales or Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, Technical Product Manager, or in a similar engineering‑adjacent role, operating close to complex enterprise platforms and with client facing experience.
- Demonstrated ability to read and understand code, reason through system behaviour, and engage in detailed technical discussions, even if not acting as a full‑time developer.
- Proven track record of owning complex, end‑to‑end client engagements involving platform integration, operating model design, and senior stakeholders.
- Fluency in German is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and confidently to executive audiences.
- Pragmatic and adaptable mindset, able to move seamlessly between hands‑on technical detail and senior‑level strategic conversations.
