The Vice President, Regional General Counsel, EMEA is responsible for leading legal and corporate governance initiatives in support of Vantage’s strategic objectives across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. This includes a strong focus on corporate matters, mergers and acquisitions, financing, real estate, construction, and commercial transactions.

This role requires a seasoned, business-oriented legal professional who can seamlessly integrate legal expertise into the broader business strategy to drive growth while mitigating risk. The ideal candidate will have extensive in-house and law firm experience, deep familiarity with the EMEA market, and a proven ability to collaborate effectively across functions.

Essential Job Functions
  • Serve as a strategic legal partner to Vantage’s New Site Acquisition, Development, Capital Markets, and Corporate Development teams in the EMEA region, providing practical, business-focused legal advice.

  • Lead and manage a strong existing legal team responsible for construction, commercial contracts, real estate, financing, and corporate secretarial functions.

  • Oversee and lead legal aspects of complex transactions, including acquisitions, joint ventures, and financing (construction, unsecured, real estate, and securitizations), ensuring alignment with business objectives and risk management strategies.

  • Review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements and other key legal documents.

  • Support the New Site Acquisition team by providing legal counsel on real estate acquisitions, including the negotiation of associated agreements and documentation.

  • Oversee legal matters for Vantage’s EMEA operations, including corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and oversight of external counsel.

  • Implement and ensure compliance with regional and corporate legal policies and standards across all business activities.

  • Drive continuous improvement and standardization of legal processes, tools, and best practices throughout the EMEA legal team to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

 Job Requirements
  • Law degree from an accredited institution, admission to a bar, or equivalent legal qualification.

  • A minimum of 12 years of legal experience, including significant experience in transactional law.

  • Demonstrated experience structuring, negotiating, and closing complex transactions.

  • Previous experience in the data center, telecommunications, or a related infrastructure industry is preferred.

  • Proven leadership experience, including team management and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly convey legal concepts to business leaders.

  • Practical, business-minded executive with a strategic approach to legal matters.

  • Strong ethical standards, integrity, and a demonstrated commitment to achieving business success through responsible legal practices.

  • Ability to work independently and balance strategic leadership responsibilities with hands-on legal work as needed.
