In this role, you'll be the visionary leader and driver in supporting the development and execution of Xometry's product strategy. You'll translate business needs into actionable product plans, user stories, and product requirements that contribute to the delivery of successful features that enhance the platform and improve the overall customer experience.  This Vice President will report directly to the CPO and have a total team size of ~10. 

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and own the full product planning process and roadmap for the platform, working with the UX team to conduct user research and analyze market trends.
  • Manage and develop teams of product managers with a strong focus on creating and maintaining great talent.
  • Work effectively and highly efficiently with cross-functional and executive leadership teams (engineering, design, marketing, and operations) to define business needs, and design and implement user stories and various product requirements.
  • Partner with engineering leaders and teams to drive and ensure product features meet user needs and align with the overall product roadmap.
  • Conduct strategic user testing and analyze feedback to iterate on product features and improve the overall user experience.
  • Track team performance and goals as well as product performance, and identify opportunities for improvement and optimization based on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor offerings to inform product strategy discussions.

What You Need To Be Successful in This Role:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Business, Computer Science); Master’s or advanced degree a plus. 
  • 10-15+ years of progressive experience with a proven track record of success in product management and leadership roles with at least 8 years at a senior leadership level within a software development environment.
  • Expertise in working with product lifecycle management tools.
  • Experience transforming and leading in the B2B platform, marketplace, or managed services industries.
  • Strong demonstrated understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex product concepts to a wide range of audiences, from technical stakeholders to executive leadership. 
  • Demonstrated ability to gather and translate business requirements into a comprehensive and actionable product strategy.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, where agility, adaptability, and "big picture" thinking are essential.
  • Ability to recruit, grow and retain multiple teams and visionary leaders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • A strategic mission-driven, positive, and results-oriented mindset.
