Our executive leadership — including the CEO and CFO — are based in Malta, home to the company’s largest operational hub.
Our Chief Legal Officer and legal team are based in Limassol, Cyprus, managing legal operations across the group.
As we continue to scale, we are now building a senior legal presence in Malta to work closely with the executive team and act as a bridge to the broader legal function.
The Role
This is not a traditional in-house counsel position.
We are looking for a Vice President of Legal to serve as the Chief Legal Officer’s right hand in Malta, working closely with our supporting departments and C suits on day-to-day legal matters while coordinating with the CLO and our legal squad in Cyprus.
You will act as the legal bridge between executive leadership and the group’s global legal operations, ensuring matters are addressed early and decisions are supported with clear legal guidance.
This role is designed for a senior lawyer coming from a leading law firm who wants to move closer to a consolidated group of businesses and operate at executive level.
You will handle matters across employment law, corporate structuring, acquisitions, commercial negotiations, and dispute prevention, while supporting the company’s international expansion.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Legal Advisory
Serve as the primary legal advisor on the ground in Malta, providing legal guidance on matters involving:
- drafting of SPAs, contracts, employment decisions and disciplinary actions
- commercial negotiations
- corporate governance
- contractual disputes
- operational and reputational risk
Ensure leadership receives clear legal guidance before issues escalate into disputes or litigation.
Coordination with Group Legal Team
Work closely with the Chief Legal Officer and the legal team based in Limassol, Cyprus.
Your role is to ensure legal matters originating from the Malta office are properly assessed, structured, and coordinated with the broader legal team when needed.
Employment & HR Legal Oversight
Partner with HR leadership on employment-related matters across the group.
Advise on:
- employee terminations and disciplinary processes
- employment contracts and internal policies
- workplace disputes and risk mitigation
- cross-border employment compliance
The company operates in a fast-moving environment, and leadership requires legal advice that is practical, clear, and timely.
Corporate Structure & Global Entities
Support the review and consolidation of the group’s corporate structure.
Responsibilities include:
- reviewing and consolidating multiple group entities
- assisting with the creation of new entities internationally
- coordinating corporate governance matters across jurisdictions
- working with external counsel on international structuring
The goal is to maintain a clean, scalable legal structure that supports global growth.
M&A and Strategic Transactions
Support acquisitions, partnerships, and strategic investments.
You will assist with:
- legal due diligence
- deal structuring
- negotiation of transaction documents
- coordination with external advisors and counsel
You will work directly with the executive team on strategic expansion initiatives.
Supplier & Commercial Agreements
Review and negotiate agreements with suppliers, partners, and vendors across the group’s global operations.
This includes agreements related to:
- global event operations
- media partnerships
- data and technology services
- sponsorship and commercial arrangements
The objective is to maintain strong legal protections while supporting commercial momentum.
Dispute Prevention & Litigation Management
Identify legal risks early and help prevent disputes from escalating.
Where disputes arise, you will:
- advise leadership on legal exposure
- coordinate litigation strategy with external counsel
- support pre-litigation negotiations and settlements
Your focus is practical resolution and risk mitigation.
Legal Operations & Team Support
Work with the CLO to strengthen the legal infrastructure supporting the group’s growth.
Responsibilities include:
- improving legal processes and documentation standards
- coordinating with external counsel globally
- hiring and managing a Corporate Administrator to support entity management and legal administration
You will help build the operational backbone of the legal function as the company scales.
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years of legal experience, ideally from a leading law firm
- Warranted lawyer in Malta or eligible for warranting
- Strong background in corporate, employment, and commercial law
- Experience advising senior executives and boards
- Experience working across multiple jurisdictions
- Strong negotiation and risk assessment skills
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
- Experience coordinating external counsel across jurisdictions
