The Vice President, Enterprise Transformation identifies, designs, and implements critical enterprise transformation initiatives for Wolters Kluwer, partnering with the Divisions and Corporate Functions, as appropriate.

This role requires the alignment and leadership of cross-functional and cross-divisional teams to achieve transformation goals. The position is a senior executive role that will help rethink the way Wolters Kluwer approaches its functional capabilities in the future to drive sustained and efficient growth.

This role will also have a special focus and dedication around re-starting and broadening the Evolve Marketing pillar.

Other locations (including remote locations) could be considered for the right candidate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic Program and Initiative Leadership:

  • Lead the program management of complex enterprise programs, ensuring well-defined goals, scope, schedules, and deliverables, aligned with business priorities.

  • Design and implement program frameworks, methodologies, and strategies to accelerate the work of the project teams and drive results.

  • Guide and coach project teams on leading practices in planning, execution, change management and issue resolution.

  • Identify and address potential roadblocks proactively to mitigate risks and ensure program success.

  • In addition to serving as the program manager/convener for currently active Evolve pillars (e.g. Content Center, Finance, Content Operations), this role will also re-start and take leadership over the Evolve Marketing Pillar (both defining the initiatives and executing on them, in coordination with the Divisions and Corporate Functions, as appropriate).

Stakeholder Collaboration and Communication:

  • Build strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders.

  • Promote cross-functional collaboration to efficiently drive alignment and buy-in.

  • Partner with assigned program/project leaders in the divisions/BU’s and functions to provide an integrated and synthesized view of progress, risks, recommendations, decisions, and costs across initiatives.

  • Deliver concise, actionable updates to executive stakeholders, highlighting decisions needed, escalations and offering solutions.

Culture of Excellence and Continuous Improvement:

  • Instill a culture of accountability and excellence in program management practices.

  • Promote continuous improvement across project teams to enhance effectiveness and adaptability.

  • Assess and/or develop effective change management and communication plans to make sure the initiatives achieve their full potential and impact.

Job Qualifications:

The individual in this role will be a proactive and pragmatic problem solver with proven skills in driving key initiatives with strong results. Essential qualifications include:

  • Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to constructively challenge status quo and help teams overcome barriers to drive results.

  • Ability to concisely and clearly articulate complex problems, potential solutions, and other complex information to diverse audiences – through written and verbal communications.

  • Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, listening and communication skills with the ability to influence and drive alignment among senior stakeholders as well as hands-on project teams.

  • Experience in program planning and management, change management.

  • Experience managing budgets, resources, and timelines for complex initiatives.

  • Experience in Marketing gained in a B2B environment.

Required Experience:

  • 12+ years of experience in consulting, enterprise transformation, and program management.

  • Experience in B2B Marketing is required.

  • Proven track record of leading large and/or complex, cross-functional programs in partnership with executive stakeholders.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree; graduate degree in business preferred.

Travel Requirements:

  • Domestic and international travel required, estimated at approximately 25% of work time.
