About the Role:

Crusoe is at the forefront of expanding hyperscale AI data center infrastructure and is actively doing so in Abilene, Texas and beyond. We have an opportunity for a highly motivated professional to be at the forefront of developing generational data center projects that will support our country’s efforts to remain the global leader in AI technology.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President Data Center Operations, the Vice President Data Center Construction is integral to our company's success and will play a pivotal role to ensure the successful delivery of multiple complex projects—on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data center facility, design and construction.

A Day In The Life:

  • Develop capital project budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

  • As a key leader, develop a strategic vision with  Crusoe Leadership team, joint venture partners, customers & other critical internal and external partners.

  • Build and manage a high caliber team distributed across multiple regions, including generals and sub.

  • Oversee all aspects of data center facility design and construction initiatives.

  • Establish strategy and operations of build design standards, ensuring they align with industry best practices and our company's strategic objectives.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to ensure the design and construction of data centers meet company-wide needs and goals.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in data center design and construction, and leverage this knowledge to keep our data centers at the forefront of the industry.

You Will Thrive In This Role If You Have:

  • 20+ years experience in data center construction

  • Must be based in the San Francisco/Bay Area

  • Substantial track record of running similar-sized capex budgets ($bn/X hundreds millions) and span of projects (25+)

  • Proven success in engaging successfully with an extended international supply chain to deliver data center builds

  • Experience in driving construction project strategy in a high-growth environment

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • Experience in presenting to and collaborating with C-suite level colleagues

  • Ability to collaborate with and influence stakeholders across the organizational ladder to drive behavioral change and implementation of initiatives

  • Consistent track record in seeing the ‘bigger long-term picture’ and thinking strategically while achieving short-term results

  • Ability to understand regional dynamics and requirements of focus markets

  • Ability to deliver results in a large, matrixed environment comprising a broad range of internal stakeholders

  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the month

Compensation Range

Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicants knowledge, education, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
