The Role

The Venue Assistant/Duty Manager is an integral position within the team to contribute to the efficient coordination of front and back of house responsibilities, and the smooth day-to-day running of O2 Academy Brixton. You will be passionate about the entertainment industry and highly motivated to deliver an outstanding experience to all clients and customers.

The successful candidate will be contributing to managing, developing and motivating an innovative team to ensure high quality service, driving our inclusive culture to deliver the best possible programme of live entertainment for everyone, where collaboration is at the heart of everything we do.

About You

  • Passionate, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about the music scene in the city
  • Experience in the live entertainment industry or venues
  • Excellent communication and diplomacy skills
  • Strong IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Self-motivated and results driven
  • Experience in supervisor role within the live entertainment or club sector is preferred
  • Works well under pressure

What the Role Includes

  • Assist all departments of the venue with general admin
  • Working with each department to get a full understanding of what they do
  • Work collaboratively with the venue team and Company head office
  • Act as a point of contact and venue liaison for all contracted events and touring parties
  • Liaise with and maintain first-rate relationships with clients, partners and service providers
  • Ensure all paperwork and reporting is completed and professionally retained
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards by adhering to established procedures and best practices
  • Comply with all Company guidelines and working practices
  • Ensure the venue is maintained to the highest standards
  • To publicly represent the venue and Company in a professional manner
  • Duty manage events and programming to the highest standard
  • Contribute to the Company business objectives and commercial targets
  • Assist the general management team in event planning and risk assessment
  • Supervision and training of team members as required
  • Perform any additional tasks as reasonably required to support management and the organisation
