Why this role is important to us
The Value Stream Business Consultant – Front Office is an individual contributor embedded in the SimCorp One Value Stream.
Main task: Design, build, and maintain Front Office standards and configurations for client implementation projects. This is not just advisory—it is hands-on configuration work to create robust, reusable standards that accelerate onboarding and ensure consistency across engagements.
The consultant will take leadership in continuously improving these standards, applying lean principles and feedback loops to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
Additionally, this person will bring client implementation asks to the Standards Guild for visibility and prioritization, ensuring transparency and alignment with strategic goals.
You will think across the investment management lifecycle (Select → Onboard → Operate), align ways of working to business agility principles, and turn standards into actionable, scalable frameworks adopted across teams
What you will be responsible for
- Take full ownership of designing and implementing reusable, fit-to-standard configurations for Front Office processes within SimCorp One.
- Champion adoption of the Front Office Business Standards Kit as the default across engagements.
- Treat standards as living products—versioned, documented, and distributed with clear change management.
- Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to ensure scalable, efficient onboarding aligned with value stream standards.
- Contribute business content to demo environments to accelerate adoption.
- Design for operational readiness from day one—co-develop runbooks and monitoring frameworks.
- Use value-stream metrics and VMO dashboards to identify bottlenecks and codify improvements.
- Lead continuous improvement of standards for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Bring client implementation asks to the Standards Guild for visibility and prioritization.
- Coach teams on lean flow, cadence, and synchronization.
- Leverage analytics to measure and improve standards consistently.
- Owning Front Office standard scope and reuse across multiple, parallel client engagements.
- Sequencing the FO critical path for onboarding with Programme/Project Managers and Onboarding Managers.
- Ensuring operate-readiness prior to cutover and a clean handover into run.
- Driving continuous improvement and feeding learnings back into the standard artefacts library.
- Coordinating with Standards Guild and VMO to align governance and prioritization.
- Hands-on configuration of Front Office standards in alignment with SimCorp One and value stream principles.
- Embed standards into onboarding playbooks and CI/CD pipelines; ensure they are consumable, observable, versioned, and auditable.
- Implement automated business process validation and regression testing aligned with standard frameworks.
- Apply Git and DevOps best practices for version control and change management of business artefacts.
- Leverage telemetry and dashboards to monitor adoption, flow efficiency, and quality signals.
- Collaborate with architects to ensure solution designs leverage existing standards and remain aligned with value stream principles.
