Job overview:
As a UX Designer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience of our online marketplace. Your primary focus will be on understanding user needs, behaviours, motivations, and translating those insights into seamless and engaging user interfaces.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and graphic designers, to create designs that not only meet the requirements of our users but also align with the business objectives.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Create meaningful and intuitive user experiences by understanding customer insights, business requirements and technical constraints 
  • Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers, developers and design colleagues 
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, flow diagrams, storyboards and mock-ups for web and mobile applications
  • Present design concepts and solutions to stakeholders and gather feedback for improvements
  • Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to iterate on designs effectively
  • Stay updated with the latest UX trends, techniques, and technologies
Requirements

Experience and Skills: 

  • Proven experience working in a UX role within a startup or agency environment
  • Strong portfolio showcasing design projects and user-centered design processes
  • Confident grasp of great e-commerce UX
  • Proficiency in design tools such as  Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent software
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and usability testing methods
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions
  • Experience in aligning teams to a solution, ability to control presentations and meetings, ensuring decisions are made and outputs clearly captured 
  • Must be a self-starter, able to manage their own time and workload  
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS and basic knowledge of front-end development
Benefits

The salary on offer for this role is up to £40,000 to £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
