Constructor TECH is an all-in-one platform for education and research. With expertise in machine intelligence and data science, Constructor is built to cater to the needs of schools, higher education, corporate training, alternative credentials, and professional sports, offering solutions for teaching and administration, learning and research.

From infrastructure to applications, Constructor elevates learning experiences, empowers educators, and drives research breakthroughs.

Our headquarters is situated in Switzerland. Also, we have entities in Germany, Bulgaria, Serbia, Turkey, and Singapore.

As a UX Designer & Frontend Developer, you’ll lead the design and frontend development of a powerful and intuitive interface for researchers interacting with AI assistants. This dual role is perfect for someone who can think in user flows and wireframes, but also deliver production-grade React components. You’ll work closely with ML engineers, domain scientists, and product managers to translate complex AI functions into usable, elegant workflows.

Key ResponsibilitiesUser Experience Design
  • Own the UX vision for key platform modules: agent interaction interfaces, research dashboards, computational pipeline builders, and knowledge graph navigation.
  • Create wireframes, user flows, low- and high-fidelity prototypes using tools like Figma or Penpot.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing with scientific end-users.
  • Design for accessibility, clarity, and engagement—ensuring scientists can easily navigate AI-generated outputs and insights.
Frontend Development
  • Translate UX prototypes into high-quality, responsive UI components using React and TypeScript.
  • Implement dynamic visualisations of data and knowledge (e.g., graphs, publication summaries, experimental outputs).
  • Collaborate with backend and ML teams to integrate APIs and AI agent responses.
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility, fast loading times, and pixel-perfect execution.
  • Maintain design system consistency using TailwindCSS and reusable component libraries.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in HCI, Computer Science, Design, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in UX design with a portfolio of data-rich or AI-integrated applications.
  • 2+ years of hands-on frontend development experience.
Design Skills
  • Proficiency in Figma (or equivalent) for wireframing, prototyping, and design system management.
  • Experience designing interfaces for technical domains, ideally scientific or data-heavy applications.
  • Strong understanding of UX research, accessibility, and human-centred design.
Technical Skills
  • Solid experience with React, TypeScript, and TailwindCSS.
  • Familiarity with data visualisation libraries (D3.js, Visx, or similar).
  • Integration of RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
  • Basic familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in computational science, scientific publishing, or tools for researchers.
  • Exposure to AI/LLM-powered user interfaces or multi-agent orchestration systems.
  • Knowledge of conversational UI, notebook-style editing, or workflow automation tools.
  • Interest in shaping next-gen tools for open-ended scientific inquiry and discovery.
