About the role
Based out of our Cricklewood Hub, this role is a fantastic opportunity to take the lead on our in‑house pre‑owned EV remarketing strategy. As our Senior Used Car Sales Executive, you’ll bring a personable, confident approach to engaging with our retail customers and PCO drivers, carrying out vehicle appraisals, coordinating trade‑ins, conducting test drives, and ensuring our outright sales process runs smoothly and efficiently.
Along side direct customer sales, the Senior Used Car Sales Executive will play a key role in managing the disposal and turnover of Splend's fleet through selling directly to consumers, managing dealer tenders, and utilising wholesale channels. You’ll also help strengthen and grow our preferred dealer network by building strong, mutually beneficial relationships that support both new purchases and ongoing fleet performance.
Responsibilities
- Support customers in choosing the right used vehicle by understanding their needs, preferences, and budget.
- Provide clear, confident guidance on vehicle features, specifications, pricing, and our products.
- Carry out test drives and vehicle appraisals to assess condition, value, and suitability
- Stay on top of market trends to identify the best timing for de‑fleeting and selling vehicles.
- Advise on how to present, position, and prepare vehicles to maximise resale value and profitability
- Coordinate scheduled tenders and maintain strong relationships with dealers and wholesalers to ensure competitive attendance and outcomes.
- Ensure Splend achieves maximum return on vehicle sales by aligning disposal decisions with optimal market cycles.
- Identify opportunities that increase profit, reduce risk, and minimise potential losses.
- Consistently maximise value and sale proceeds of vehicles sold.
What you'll bring
- Experience in Remarketing (desirable).
- EV knowledge or a genuine enthusiasm for growing within the EV sector.
- Passion for building relationships with a network of vehicle buyers, wholesalers, and auction houses.
- Strong understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
- Skilled negotiator with the ability to influence and drive positive outcomes.
- Strong understanding of the used‑car market, pricing trends, and vehicle valuations.
- Positive, proactive, and “can‑do” approach to challenges and opportunities.
