Responsibilities:

The UK Summer Internship programme runs from 21st June 2027 to 27th August 2027 in our London Office and is designed for penultimate-year students with a desire to pursue a career in M&A advisory, Capital Advisory Group (CAG) or Private Fund Advisory (PFA) services. This program offers hands-on experience and valuable exposure to high-level financial advisory work, providing interns with the opportunity to develop key skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
 
Summer Interns will begin with a week of comprehensive training, providing you with the resources and guidance to contribute to live M&A projects from the start. You’ll then join a team working on real projects, where you’ll have the chance to be involved in all aspects of an M&A transaction. You’ll be supported throughout by your team and a dedicated ‘buddy’ to help you navigate your role.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing financial analysis and assisting with valuations
  • Contributing to industry research
  • Assisting in the preparation of confidential information memoranda and management presentations
  • Preparing confidential information memoranda and management presentations
  • Supporting senior bankers with business development and meeting preparation
  • Participating in the due diligence and closing process
  • Developing a solid understanding of M&A processes

Qualifications:

  • Must be a penultimate year student enrolled in full-time study, with an anticipated graduation date of Spring/Summer 2028.
  • Exceptional academic record
  • A clear interest in building a career in Financial Services
  • Knowledge of accounting and finance, along with business understanding
  • Confidence with numbers and the ability to analyse data effectively.
  • Strong English writing, verbal communication and computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Successful interns are assertive and self-motivated, can manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment and are detail oriented
  • Prior experience in M&A, capital raising, or investment banking is helpful but not essential
