The UK Market Reporter will cover UK financial markets, writing articles on key trends and providing analyses, catering to investors and financial advisors.
Morningstar seeks an experienced financial journalist for the position of markets reporter on our London editorial team, with a mandate to cover UK stocks, bonds, and the currency markets. The successful candidate will write both fast-paced markets stories and in-depth analysis for Morningstar.co.uk.
Our core mission is to help investors meet their financial goals, and we approach covering the markets through that lens. That means putting the day-to-day noise of the markets in context while informing investors about the news and trends that are critical to making smart decisions.

The editorial team writes and publishes news on the financial markets and investing, along with digestible research content in the form of articles, data visualization, videos, and podcasts. We function as an independent newsroom separate from the research departments.
We are looking for a reporter who has a deep interest in the UK economy and markets. The successful candidate can combine a lively, engaging writing style with a proven ability to make complex subjects accessible to a wide audience, from retail investors and pension savers to financial advisers and institutional investors.
This role requires the ability to write quick takes on big market moves, as well as the skill to craft deeper dives into key investing trends and more complex subjects, where insights are gleaned from data and conversations with financial decision-makers. The successful candidate will be adept at handling complex data from both internal and external sources and presenting it with clarity to an individual investor audience.
