What you’ll be doing
All developers sit within Engineering team focussing on building and maintaining industry-leading, data-centric products
- Be the resident SQL Development Expert within the Engineering team
- Play a key role in data modelling decisions ensuring scalable, maintainable products with little or no technical debt
- Develop and maintain performant views and stored procedures that accurately encapsulate the required business logic for our products
- Build out scripts for use within Customer Services team tooling to quickly identify data quality issues and surface meaningful data
- Assist the Engineering team to find elegant, readable and maintainable solutions to gnarly data problems
What you’ll need
- Expert level SQL development skills for creating and maintaining SQL database models and all T-SQL artefacts using all the industry best-practices
- Strong experience using Azure SQL databases
- Strong data analysis skills to facilitate complex problem solving
- Strong query optimization skills
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and implementation experience
- Good experience with Version Control and Release Management tools such as Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins etc
- Good familiarity with MS Azure suite of products, especially Azure Data Factory and related tooling
- Familiarity with temporal functionality within SQL Server
- Familiarity with SQL Server Integration Services – building and deploying packages
- Familiarity with ColumnStore and In-Memory architecture in SQL server would be beneficial
- Familiarity with collaboration suites i.e. Atlassian product (Jira, Confluence)
