Who We’re Looking For: 
We’re looking for a UK Fund Solutions Manager. The role has two main areas of responsibility, and requires an individual with a combination of fund operations and regulatory expertise, along with a commercial mindset. 

 

  1. Support the business development needs of Schroders UK business by providing complex mandate and fund solutioning, working with strategic clients, client owners, investment and operations teams in an SME Capacity:

    • Help understand client needs and propose and design solutions, considering the cost, regulatory and servicing implications.

    • Build institutional knowledge and share expertise on fund structures and client service models.

    • Support the development of new products and servicing models, particularly in conjunction with Schroders Solutions and Schroders Capital.

 

  1. Schroder Pension Management Limited (SPML) is Schroders wholly owned UK life insurance company, which provides unit linked investment solutions to defined benefit and defined contribution pension schemes in the UK. We need someone to act as a business manager for the entity:

  • Documenting the company’s strategy and leading delivery on behalf of the CEO;

  • Act as an internal SME and point of escalation for client group, investment and operations teams relating to SPML. 

  • Lead on issue management and resolution, including operational challenges, third party service provides and client issues.

 

Team Overview: 
You will sit in the UK Client Group Governance function, reporting to the Head of UK Client Group Governance. This team sits more broadly within Schroders’ Client Group, which is responsible for business development, client service, product development, marketing and communications. The team enables core sales and client service activity by providing the necessary support on risk management, regulatory compliance and entity governance. This enables:

  • More time for client facing staff to focus on core activities. 

  • Proper management of risks.

  • Provable compliance with Regulations and Group Policies.

  • A trusted advisor within the business, who understands the business.

 

Overview of the Role:
Your principal objective is to provide end‑to‑end strategic, technical and operational expertise across UK Client Group business services, enabling the design, development and delivery of fund solutions and client service capabilities. The role acts as a central subject matter expert, supporting product innovation, client implementation, and ongoing service delivery across public and private market solutions, while ensuring effective integration across SPML, Schroder Solutions and Client Group functions. 

The objective is to enhance client outcomes, strengthen operational models, and support business growth by bridging product, operations, regulation and client servicing requirements across multiple client segments. 

The UK Fund Solutions Manager acts as a bridge between client needs, internal departments and third-party service providers, working alongside dedicated internal teams including product development, operations onboarding, Schroders solutions, fund operations and business development.

 

The UK Fund Solutions Manager is responsible for:

  • Acting as a technical and business services SME across fund solutions, SPML, and client service operations, with responsibility for resolving complex issues and managing escalations across multiple business areas. 
  • Leading and supporting product development, fund solution design and service capability build-out, including public and private market structures (e.g. LTAFs, CORE FM, managed portfolios, segregated mandates)
  • Providing strategic support to SPML, including business planning, governance, product oversight, and life company subject matter expertise. 
  • Delivering client onboarding, transitions, and implementation support, alongside ongoing client servicing, troubleshooting, and operational guidance. 
  • Acting as a regulatory subject matter expert, supporting requirements such as Costs & Charges, MiFID II, Solvency II and Consumer Duty, and contributing to policy and industry engagement where required. 
  • Supporting Schroder Solutions and private markets capability, including integration of operational models, fund accounting, custody, and third‑party services. 
  • Driving business change, process improvement and capability development, including operating model design, data management, and service enhancement initiatives. 
  • Managing third‑party relationships and service providers, including oversight of administrators, custodians and outsourced providers. 
  • Enabling sales and business development activity through technical expertise, solution support and client engagement. 
  • Supporting education, knowledge transfer and internal capability building across Client Group teams.
