This is a fantastic opportunity to source and write engaging TV content, including exclusive interviews, news and shoots for our print outlets The Mirror, We Love TV, Saturday Magazine, Hot TV, OK! New, S magazine, Notebook and Love Sunday, as well producing daily content for our websites Mirror.co.uk and OK.co.uk.

We're looking for fresh ideas from people from a wide range of backgrounds and to add new perspectives to our multi-platform TV content and celebrity interviews.

This role is home and hub based, linked to our Canary Wharf Hub in London. We are therefore open to candidates based in and around London.

Job Description

What will the role involve?

You will write exciting TV content for The Mirror and our print & digital magazine brands, from interviewing TV celebrities to covering live TV shows, you will be at the centre of all things TV. You will develop and pitch fresh and engaging ideas for TV content, whilst keeping our brand styles in mind. You will help grow our audiences with your live reporting, preparing and scheduling of spoilers and entertaining coverage of breaking TV news.

You will attend exciting events, covering red carpets and live TV moments, building your contacts as you go. You will utilise various social media platforms to further drive traffic to your content on TikTok, Instagram Live and more. 

This position involves working Tuesday to Saturday on 7am - 3pm or 3pm -11pm shifts on a rotating basis.

Qualifications

Who are we looking for?

You are an NCTJ qualified journalist or equivalent, with a passion for all things TV, from dramas and soaps to reality TV, documentaries, film and beyond. You have a proven track record of writing TV or entertainment content within an established, fast paced newsroom, or magazine environment. You have exceptional writing skills and you are a pro when it comes to interviewing high profile celebrities. You have demonstrable print writing experience and the attention to detail to ensure all your copy meets our Mirror and magazine high standards.

You have experience publishing multiple stories a day at pace and meeting deadlines with ease. You have an enviable contact book of celebrities, PRs, sources and agents that you can use to develop exciting, traffic driving content. You understand how to utilise social media to drive traffic and have excellent legal media knowledge.
