About the role

Ocado’s Treasury team is integral to the development and execution of the company’s Treasury strategy. This team effectively manages financial risks while ensuring seamless operations.

The Treasury Systems Manager (Systems & Projects) is pivotal in overseeing the management, maintenance, and optimisation of Kyriba, our Treasury Management System (TMS), along with the associated financial technology infrastructure. This role is essential for ensuring that Treasury technology aligns with business objectives, enhances operational efficiency, and upholds strong financial controls.

As a subject matter expert, the Treasury Manager will significantly contribute to the implementation of best practices in treasury operations through the development of systems, integration initiatives, and process automation.

Accountabilities

Treasury System Management & Optimisation:

  • Oversee the administration, configuration, and maintenance of the TMS.
  • Lead system upgrades, patches and enhancements to improve controls, functionality and user experience. Lead the copy back and regression testing processes.
  • Collaborate with IT, Finance, and Treasury teams to integrate the TMS with ERP systems, banking platforms, and other financial systems.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system security and compliance.
  • Develop report on and actively work to improve relevant KPIs.
  • Act as the primary liaison between Ocado Treasury and system vendors, managing relationships and service agreements.
  • Sandbox testing of new initiatives.
  • Own appropriate business continuity plans, business impact assessments and financial controls assessments.

Treasury Operations & Automation:

  • Support day-to-day Treasury operations through automation of cash management, payments and reporting processes.
  • Implement and optimise payment processing solutions, ensuring security and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Enhance straight-through processing (STP) capabilities to improve efficiency in treasury workflows.
  • Develop dashboards and reports for cash forecasting, liquidity management, and risk exposure tracking.
  • Develop and expand in-house banking structures, intercompany netting and cash pooling arrangements.

 Data Integrity & Compliance:

  • Ensure accurate data management and integrity within the TMS and related financial platforms.
  • Maintain strong controls and audit trails in line with company policies and external regulatory requirements including quarterly user access reviews and segregation of duties.
  • Ensure Treasury systems adhere to industry standards, including SOX compliance, PCI-DSS, ISO20022 and other financial controls.
  • Provide support for internal and external audits related to treasury systems and processes.

Project Management & Strategic Initiatives:

  • Support the Group Treasurer to develop the TMS into the single source of truth for all Ocado’s banking data and documentation
  • Lead Treasury technology-related projects, including new system implementations and enhancements.
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and drive process improvements.
  • Keep up to date with treasury technology trends and innovations to recommend improvements.
  • Provide training to Treasury and Finance colleagues and support stakeholders on usage of the TMS and best practice.
  • Develop innovative solutions including virtual bank accounts and in-house banking concepts to support business requirements.

About you

  • Strong drive to automate and drive process improvement initiatives
  • Experience of a Treasury function in an international, fast growing and changing environment
  • 10 years + in Treasury
  • Relevant treasury qualifications (preferably AMCT or Certificate in international Cash management) and Kyriba certification
  • Hands on experience of international payments and cash management processes and related banking and regulatory requirements
  • In-depth understanding of TMS and processes, particularly Kyriba
  • Experience of month end treasury processes, including treasury journals
  • Up to date knowledge of best practice in the industry
