The Transformation Specialist role will be accountable for delivering a programme of transformation projects and ensuring that the project benefits for our clients, our firm and our people are fully realised.

Who you will work with

Alongside working with colleagues in the Transformation team, you will also work cross functionally with partners and associates, colleagues from Legal Technology, Legal Project Management, Pricing, Resource Management, Delivery Centres, Client & Market Development, Brand Comms & Marketing, Finance and KETL. You will be expected to collaborate with colleagues in other regions on global focus areas.

You will also need to establish strong relationships with a range of global stakeholders.

What you will be responsible for

The Transformation Specialist will be responsible for delivering priority transformation projects based on guidance from Global Business Units (GBUs) or Business Professional (BP) functions; resourcing the projects; determining and scoping the approaches; identifying additional revenue opportunities; implementing effective change management and communications plans; ensuring that new ways of working are transferred effectively throughout the GBU or BP function globally; and tracking the resulting return on investment. In doing so, you will develop a network of sustainable relationships, understanding stakeholder needs, identifying ways to address these needs, and demonstrating influencing skills to deliver business objectives.

The success of this role will primarily be measured by feedback from partners; the extent to which the transformation projects yield sustained benefits to our clients and the firm; and the successful roll-out of new ways of working.

What you will do

You will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Gathering and interpreting data that supports the transformation vision
  • Acting as trusted advisors to partners and lawyers regarding the provision of innovation support on pitch responses, transactions and client engagements
  • Demonstrating excellent change management and communication skills
  • Displaying intermediate skills in the areas of process improvement; client engagement; technology and AI implementation and project management
  • Defining and deploying new ways of working on transactions, including technology and AI, resourcing models and digital solutions
  • Managing a range of complex improvement and change management projects
  • Tracking and promoting benefits/value to drive further engagement
  • Collaborating effectively with GBU and Business Professional stakeholders and with clients through pitch responses and other engagements , including identifying opportunities to generate revenue by charging clients for the use and support of AI and/or digital technologies.
  • Engaging in managed or self-directed learning to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and other relevant technologies, and applying this knowledge to drive [transformation] within the GBU and the firm.

Qualifications

Your Experience

You will possess the following experience:

  • Track record of delivery of business transformation/client service change & transformation projects within a professional services environment
  • Management of projects from end-to-end and realised associated benefits
  • Prior experience in the application of consulting skills, creative, strategic, critical and organisational thinking is essential
