About the opportunity:
Join the Sizewell C (SZC) megaproject, supporting the delivery of one of the UK’s largest low‑carbon infrastructure programmes. This role leads PMO standards, governance, assurance, and reporting across the Transformation Portfolio, ensuring consistent, high‑quality delivery of business‑critical projects.
The Transformation PMO Lead sets, implements, and embeds PMO processes, tools, and delivery standards. They oversee planning, milestone tracking, integrated portfolio reporting, and governance to support decision-making. The role ensures visibility of progress, risks, interdependencies, and performance across all transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Portfolio Manager with RAID management, reporting, and upkeep of the integrated SZC Transformation plan.
Review and validate project/programme plans, ensuring transparent and consistent tracking.
Confirm stage gates and milestones across strategic projects.
Produce portfolio-level reporting for Transformation SteerCo and escalate key issues.
Identify and manage interdependencies across the Transformation Portfolio.
Maintain the monthly dashboard and support communications and stakeholder engagement.
Here's What You'll Need.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, PRINCE2) and planning tools (e.g., MSP).
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to manage interdependencies plus robust RAID and change control processes.
Degree‑educated.
Proven experience in a Portfolio Management Office, including setting delivery standards, governance frameworks, and supporting programme/project delivery.
Desirable
Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills in complex environments.
Professional PMO or project management certifications (PMP, APM, P3O).
