A vacancy has opened for a Transfer Pricing Manager, based in the UK, (Hybrid or Remote) to join Group Tax, offering the successful candidate the chance to be part of and contribute to an ambitious, dynamic and influential corporate function.

What you'll be doing:

  • This is an important role within Group Tax. Transfer pricing sits at the heart of AMEX GBT’s tax affairs, particularly given Amex GBT’s acquisitive nature, and the successful individual will be expected to lead on transfer pricing, to make it work for the business as Amex GBT grows both organically and through acquisition and to align transfer pricing with Amex GBT’s global tax strategy.
  • Group Tax currently operates a relatively flat reporting structure, thus promoting a strong team ethic. The position will work alongside the Transfer Pricing Director and other members of Group Tax, as well as interacting with Amex GBT colleagues at all levels across the organisation and external advisers.
  • In addition, of supporting the development, implementation and monitoring of transfer pricing policies this role is responsible for making sure that Amex GBT complies with its obligations on transfer pricing, in conjunction with external advisers and internal colleagues, and will support on the transfer pricing aspect of tax audits, either personally or with the assistance of external tax advisers
  • You will interact with a wide range of stakeholders across the business, finance, legal and corporate functions to develop a clear understanding of Amex GBT.

What we need from you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or other relevant professional qualification
  • Tax / transfer pricing experience ideally 5 years’ +
  • Experience of setting and implementing transfer pricing policies.
  • Experience with analysing and implementing international transfer pricing regulations
  • Understanding of accounting concepts and tax law
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to extract, analyse, and review data and make appropriate recommendations
  • Thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter and able to work with minimal guidance
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills and challenging mind, prepared to ask “why” rather than “what”
  • Ambitious to succeed and strong drive to push tasks through to completion
  • Good organisational skills and able to work to tight deadlines
  • An ability to think outside of the box
