What you’ll be doing

Join the LBG Group Tax team in a role where you will have the opportunity to develop your skills across a wide range of tax technical matters and shape how we partner with important parts of the Group’s strategy.

This is a specialist Transfer Pricing role, supporting a wide range of business activity across the Group, and leading on tax transfer pricing. You’ll provide expert advice on complex tax matters, helping colleagues understand the implications of transactions and make informed decisions.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Leading Group Tax’s transfer pricing advisory team. This will include technical transfer pricing advice to the Group to support due diligence, structuring, strategic investment activity across all business units.

  • Lead global transfer pricing policy, implementation and documentation standards.

  • Monitor changes to UK and global transfer pricing rules, analysing the impact for the Group.

  • Delivering transfer pricing documentation for the UK, including master and local files, day to day TP documentation and incoming requirements such as ICTS.

  • Being a key part of a small team of tax specialists supporting on successful delivery of technical tax advice.

  • Supporting the Group understand and implement requirements of tax transfer pricing legislation and support the development of the Group Tax team through both formal training activity and more informal mentoring, support and development activities.

  • Transfer pricing advice for service provision and cost allocation across the Group

  • Advising on Group Treasury activities from a transfer pricing perspective

  • Profit attribution for overseas branches

  • Engagement with tax authorities on advance pricing agreements and managing any enquiries

  • Providing ad‑hoc tax advice on a range of product offerings

You’ll analyse changes in tax legislation and translate these into clear, practical guidance, highlighting risks, implications and recommended actions. Strong communication and influencing skills are essential, as you’ll work closely with senior leaders and collaborators across the business.

What we’re looking for

Essential experience and capabilities

  • 8+ years of relevant experience as a tax and transfer pricing specialist within industry, professional practice, or with relevant government bodies, with a track-record of leading on transfer pricing matters across large or complex organisations

  • Strong technical understanding of transfer pricing legislation, policy design, documentation, operating models, controversy and practical implementation. You are adept in applying this to complex business scenarios

  • Ability to engage confidently with senior leaders and external bodies and evidence of clear and effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret legislation and assess risk

Desirable skills and qualifications

  • Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, ADIT, ATT or CTA

  • Experience within financial services or other regulated environments

  • Knowledge of accounting standards under IFRS

  • Understanding of tax governance requirements including SOX, Senior Accounting Officer and Public Tax Strategy frameworks

  • Experience managing external advisors on transfer pricing projects
