Responsibilities:

On a day-to-day level manage – and take ownership of – translation and transcreation projects, ranging from long-copy translation to complex international campaigns, either working independently or with other members of the Transcreation team and other departments within Tag.

Translation/Transcreation/Language adaptation management – support role

  • Briefing local copywriters on new global master online, TVC, print and digital to be adapted in their local languages. Briefing translators on short and long copy translation projects.
  • Managing and building trusting relationships with local translators and copywriters to translate, adapt copy and proofread artwork.
  • Under supervision of STM or TM, assessing quality of the adaptations received from copywriters. Ensuring accuracy and reliability of copy and the consistency of messaging/positioning for the brands across all media and markets.
  • Briefing the local copywriters on VoiceOver direction responsibilities during the VO recording stage of the project. QA check of recorded VoiceOver in a given language as well as QA check of all final language adaptations to go to production team.
  • Analysing files and managing translation projects on the translation portal. Liaising with the localisation team for support on file processing and translation memory management.
  • Liaising with internal teams to support production: VO, video, digital, print, etc.

Project management

  • Establishing and managing project deadlines (setting and enforcing deadlines with copywriters, translators and sometimes clients) and budgets (open job numbers, prepare estimates, send/obtain POs, billing)
  • Abilitiy to efficiently manage multiple projects.
  • Understand and follow all the processes and stages independently from beginning to end, including briefing, script creation, file analysis and preparation, translation project set-up, language revision/QA, production, etc.

Client management

  • Taking briefs from agencies/clients, ensure that all information necessary to carrying out the job is obtained.
  • Under supervision of STM or TM, managing local and regional client approvals as well as implementing client feedback.
  • Building solid relationships with different clients/agencies/colleagues with the support of STM/TM.

Skills and Experience required:

  • Education: the successful candidate will have a college/university degree in related field (i.e. English, Linguistics, International Relations, Marketing, Communications, Business).  A combination of education and work experience can be substituted.                                   

Experience: Minimum 1 year experience of project management/account handling within:

  • A communications agency (ATL, BTL, TTL and/or interactive).
  • The marketing services department of an advertiser (client-side).
  • Possibly a production facility or other relevant advertising industry supplier.
  • Translation/transcreation agency.
